With high damage potential and Sleep on demand, immobilizing for a knockout is a Wigglytuff original your opponent can’t just mute.
Strategy Points:
“Good Night Melody” providing Sleep when needed allows for Pokémon like Darkrai and Altaria to maximize the effects of their attacks while adding more damage for Leafeon and Musharna.
You can use Xatu, Sparkling Robe and Aromatic Energy as options to stop your own Pokemon from being Asleep. You can also use Switch or Escape Board.
“Do The Wave” creates an opportunity to do 100 damage, more with stadium cards like Sky Field. You can quickly increase the damage with Energy Switch and Aromatisse.
“Hocus Pinkus” is as strong as it is blunt. The Defending Pokmon will have to Retreat, Switch or Evolve to Attack next turn. You can run a Fairy-Poison strategy with Shiinotic and Galarian Weezing to stun and chip away as you continue to build your board.
“Lead” from Jigglypuff can grab you a Diantha or Twins if you anticipate being knocked out next turn. “Stompy Stomp” with can get you 40 damage if you don’t have the energy for Wigglytuff’s attacks. Running with Blunder Policy and Vicini can result in a “win-win” situation for at least getting cards drawn if you don’t get max damage.
With Igglybuff
“Good Night Melody” provides a quick way for “Tempo Expand” to activate and make all of Wigglytuff’s attacks cost only 1 Fairy Energy. You can also use Venusaur or Blaziken to reliably inflict Special Conditions for more damage on top of your attacks.
“Assisting Neighbor” quickly accelerates big attackers like Tapu Bulu and Grimmsnarl while increasing the damage potential of “Do The Wave”.
Wigglytuff – Level X:
“Energy Requiem” allows for an aggressive playstyle with cards like Professor’s Research and Quick Ball to discard Enery early on for more damage later. If Wigglytuff has played a highly supportive role on the bench, this attack can serve a mid to late game momentum swinger to halt your opponents plans to win.
“Existential Elegy” really boils down to if you can keep Wigglytuff healthy for the next turn. You will already get around one to two knockouts on average. With Pokémon like Tentacruel and Linoone, you can manipulate your opponents bench to make even more EX’s on their side.
