With a rich history throughout the TCG, Raichu comes to Highlander with an array of strong options that can swiftly claim KOs.

Strategy Points:

• Use “Electromagnetic Induction” to quickly build a threatening attacker, like Elektross and Regieleki.
• “Boosted Voltage” provides lethal spread damage towards your Opponent’s Basic Pokémon. Scope Lens is an ideal Pokémon Tool Card while Omastar provides a fast way to increase damage.
• “Burst Ball” doesn’t require Raichu to discard its energy. You can use Electivire and Triple Acceleration Energy to quickly pay the cost.
• Pichu’s “Link Circuit” provides a highly rewarding window of opportunity. The turn you evolve into Raichu and use “Burst Ball” (with its cost further aided by Voltage Increase), you are allowed for another attack. This includes the ones from Raichu Break and Raichu Level X done on the same turn.
• The Energy Cost of Raichu Break’s “Grand Bolt” can easily be provided thanks to “Voltage Increase” and Double Colorless Energy. Jolteon’s “Speed Cheer” will make the attack costs 1 Energy less after each KO from Raichu, including its Form Changes and Pikachu’s attacks if Pichu is used.
• Raichu Level X’s “Link Lightning” has its own highly rewarding window of opportunity. After using Voltage Shoot, you can use one more attack. If you use Burst Ball right after on the same turn as evolving from Pikachu with Pichu used in the line, you can then use a third attack in the same turn.
• ^ A common combo is: Evolve into Raichu from Pikachu (with Pichu used) -> Move energy to Raichu with Chakra Increase -> Raichu Level X Form Change -> Voltage Shoot -> Burst Ball (hopefully paying a three Energy cost from your bench) -> Voltage Shoot or Boosted Voltage. You can net three Prize Cards in one turn with this combo.
• Plusle and Energy Retrieval provide strong ways to keep your Energy around for this combo. Lanturn and EXP. Share keep attachments preserved on your board as well.
