Pre Evolution:

Form Change:

Set the stage for Jynx and its one of a kind show consisting of:

– Great reliable healing,

– Solid damage with a paralyzing kicker,

– Momentum granting damage spread attack that shares Energy.

Strategy Points:

  • Use Float Stone, Mesprit, or Silvally to grant Jynx a Free Retreat for reliable “Victory Kiss” pivot plays. Zoroark and Solgaleo are also great targets while adding to your mobility here.
  • Jynx has a unique edge in being a healer with guaranteed paralysis thanks to “Icy Kiss”. With Eviolite or Lake Acuity, you can make it a challenge to KO Jynx throughout the game. You can also do hit and run plays with Pokemon like Accelgor and Phione to promote Jynx afterwards.
  • “Pure Power” can net fast knockouts while also setting up strategic plays later in the game. All while providing Energy to your Benched Pokémon and maintaining the threat of Paralysis thanks to “Icy Kiss”.
  • With Smoochum
  • “Evolution Dance” creates an ease of use for all of Jynx’s attacks. It also opens up easier combos with Psychic decks that use strong spread damage Pokemon like Dusknoir and Beheeyem.
  • “Ominous Dance” is a deceptively strong Poké-Power for setting up knockouts that might not even require an attack. Spread damage Pokemon like Abomasnow and Cetitan will appreciate the damage manipulation while in the Active Spot.
  • With Jynx – Level X
  • “Chilling Tempo” will heal an average of 20 damage between turns. There are decks that play even more EXs, but you can anchor around this number pretty reliably. This makes Jynx even harder to KO, especially with the previously mentioned tanking, disruptive, and pivoting strategies. All while having to gauge if they are willing to not take any Prize Cards when they knock out Jynx.
  • “Zenful Pirouette” allows for a hand refresh while being able to spread up to 110 damage (more with Sky Field). The average number to expect is around 8 to 9 with full benches. The number of EXs only helps Jynx with “Chilling Tempo” in return though.
  • You can use Team Flare Whistle, Honchkrow, or Lumineon to make your opponent bench more non-EX Pokémon for this attack.
