Not just the engine, Electivire drives the whole Muscle Car to Pokemon TCG Highlander with Lightning Energy to give and high damage to dish while firing off all cylinders.
Strategy Points:
- One “Motor Drive” alone can start swinging the game in your favor. You can use Energy Switch or Magnezone to quickly move around the accelerated Lightning Energy for big attackers like Kilowattrel and Electrode.
- Thanks to “Plasma”, you can save your manual energy attachments to other Pokémon, all while quickly accumulating Energy for Electivire when paired with Motor Drive.
- “Discharge” can hit for high numbers at an alarmingly fast pace. If you run Double Colorless Energy, you can hold onto 2/3s of the Attack Cost for next turn. Using Trick Coin, Will or Victini can help you secure a knockout vs high HP Pokémon.
- With Elekid
- “Shocking Tail” adds up damage fast. You can run Pokemon like Emolga and Electrode – Level X to create a strong pivot and punish game with Electivire. This is further amplified with Electabuzz’s “Stages of Evolution” that reduces 40 damage from your opponent’s Pokémon with Special Energy. Pair this with Defender and Assault Vest to make most Pokemon struggle to KO a healthy Electivire.
- “Intense Voltage” lets you call upon any Energy card on your bench to Electivire. This includes Special Energy and manual attachments to Pokemon that get added benefits like Raikou and Flapple.
- “Double Shock” can be an anchor strategy for bulky Electivire plays. The 75% chance of Paralysis paired with “Shocking Tail” (with the additional Level X one) creates a lethal lock. Use Glimwood Tangle, Trick Coin, or Sandaconda to further increase your odds.
- “Luster Blast” can provide reliable damage when you don’t want to take a risk with “Discharge”. With 3 option slots at your disposal to accelerate energy along with a Triple Acceleration Energy providing the complete cost, there are plenty of easy ways to use this attack.
- With Electivire – Level X
- “Shocking Tail” isn’t just for a once per turn manual attachment. If the opponent accelerates any Energy from the hand with Pokemon like Walrein or Groudon, they will take 20 damage per Energy attached this way.
- “Pulse Barrier” is a game winning attack, based off of your opponent’s possible overextensions. It only takes one Stadium or Pokémon Tool Card from them to allow Electivire full immunity during your opponent’s next turn.
