Clefable – Pokémon TCG Highlander

Pre Evolutions:

Form Change:

With unwanted attack stealing and revivals towards the opponent, Clefable arrives to Pokémon TCG Highlander with a dance of tricks anchored around solid offensive and defensive numbers.

Strategy Points:

  • “Follow Me” has high disruption from the get-go. If your opponent had one of their Pokémon lines knocked out, you can revive the Not Fully Evolved Basic while your opponent scrambles to revive the rest of the line from the Discard Pile. Often granting a knockout on the next turn.
    • Even if you don’t get a knockout, your opponent might be stuck for a while after using Follow Me. Especially on Not Fully Evolved Basic Pokemon with a Retreat Cost of two or more.
  • “Moon Impact” provides reliable damage and a defensive buff to knockout Pokémon revived from Follow Me or for when Metronome doesn’t grant protection after a knockout.
  • “Metronome” is Pandora’s Box for game opportunities. For only two Fairy Energy, you can copy any attack on the Defending Pokémon. From Regigigas’s “Crush Grip” to Koraidon’s “Rampaging Fang”, there are fast ways to beat a Pokémon to the punch with their own high damaging moves.
  • With Cleffa
  • “Moon-Watching Dance” takes Clefable’s attacks to easy OHKO potential. You can use Aromatisse or Energy Switch to quickly spread out as many Fairy Energy to your bench as possible. This includes any Energy that provides Fairy, so Clawitzer or Magcargo moving around your Rainbow or Aurora Energy cards also works.
  • “Fairy Follow Me” provides a 50% shot every turn to take a fast KO or stall for time. Before you play a Guzma/Lysandre or Serena, you can go for this Poké-Power first to possibly save on a card for later. You can use Fairy Garden or Tapu Koko’s “Aero Tail” to quickly pivot Clefable to the bench to use this each turn while promoting another threat like Granbull or Florges.
  • Clefairy’s “Sing” can cause great disruption to stop potential sweepers. “Metronome” can take your opponent’s work for three Colorless Energy as early as turn one if you’re going second.
  • Clefable – Level X:
  • “Moonlight Sonata” can be played as early as the 2nd turn, allowing for you to rapidly set up your entire board before your opponent. Use Energy Exchanger and Roseanne’s Research to quickly prepare your board, even Rainbow and Aurora Energy works here.
  • “Cosmic Healing” adds even more pressure to your opponent. You can either move Clefable to the bench to begin disrupting with “Fairy Follow Me” while healing, or use the Poké-Power on Clefable as you continue to disrupt and take Prize Cards with its own attacks.
